"My Robin" Story Legal Assistant Hamilton County GAL/CASA Program Volunteer Coordinator 317.776.0480/[email protected]
Established in 1994.
I graduated from the Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington, IN in 1994 and passed the Indiana State Bar Exam that same year. (I was very glad I did, as I would never want to take that exam ever again!) After graduation, I decided that I wanted to come back to the County I grew up in...Hamilton...and practice law. On March 3, 1997, I opened my sole practice and have never looked back. Being red-headed and very independent, it was the best move I could have made.
In addition to having my own law practice, as of January 2001, I took over as Director of our GAL/CASA Program in Hamilton County. Little did I know that over 18+ years later, I would still be sitting as Director and watching how our Programs over those years have flourished and assisted so many children in the Court system. In May 2017, I then also took over as Director of the Tipton County CASA Program. These Programs advocate for children caught up in the Court system.
I have three children, two sons and a daughter... all through adoption so I know what's it's like to go through the same. I also know what it's like to have to wait and wait before finalizing an adoption and how stressful that time period can be. I have five rescue dogs, the latest of which is a senior. I love gardening at my home and I play the piano.
My Goal.
I would say that ultimately I want every client of mine to look back and say, "I trusted my attorney. I knew that she cared about my case." I try to always be available to my clients - whether that's by email, text or telephone. I have worked with Assistant, "My Robin" for over 13 years, and together we try and make the experience of having to hire an attorney as easy an experience as it possibly can be given the situation.
